A triennial event organized at initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, LA FORCE DE L’ART aims to put on stage contemporary French creation and the artists who bring it about, with all the diversity of their origins and aesthetic choices. This second FORCE DE L’ART 02 will be presented in the Nave of the Grand Palais in Paris, from April 24th to June 1st 2009.

Jacques Monory has taken over the Foundation’s largest exhibition space for this exceptional event at the Marguerite and Aimé Maeght Foundation. The latest “Nouvelles Saisons de l’Art Vivant” proposes 4 panoramic canvases and one monumental work based on the theme of the Tiger.

This auction will be held in Drouot this 6 april and offers us some surprising et original furniture from Ron Arad, Jean Prouvé, Michel Froment, Tom Dixon and Gaetano Pesce.

Agenore Fabbri is primarily known for his work as an expressionist artist and certainly his “nastro di gala” bench possesses distinct gestural qualities.

Calder’s heritage does not limit it self to sculptures or drawings. The Irish Museum of Modern Art will display from 1 April to 21 June 2009 a unique kind of BMW, a “Calder BMW”. This car was painted by the artist in 1975, it was driven during the “24 heures du Man”.
