Random resurrection is a set of custom made furniture based on a second hand e-bay object mix. The work consists in a game of combinations. Instead of drawing shapes, designs are born from a combination of existing elements.

Beyond the aspect of giving a second life to rubbish furniture and transformation of your grandmother’s furniture table in an original design, the idea is to question the shape of standard furniture.

The Villa Medicis will be hosting Beatrice Caracciolo’s work. This painter does great paintings, quite expressive and impressive. Italian, she lives and works in Paris, France. This event, called “Tumulti”, will open by january the 23th and show drawing, collage and paintings.

On the afternoon of 23 January, 2010 Sotheby’s will offer over 280 lots of Chinese export porcelain and China Trade paintings from the private collection of esteemed longtime dealer Elinor Gordon. A fixture at the Winter Antiques Show since its inception in 1955, Gordon is largely credited with elevating Chinese Export Porcelain to an independent collecting category.

The Joan Miró Foundation, in conjunction with the Fundació Lluís Carulla and Editorial Barcino, are launching the first volume of the Epistolari Català de Joan Miró (Joan Miró’s Catalan Letters).

This volume contains over one thousand letters and postcards - most of them hitherto unpublished - sent to more than a hundred people connected with Miró: relatives, friends from his youth, art critics, artists, gallery owners, journalists, etc.

Sotheby’s is delighted to announce that it will offer for sale 163 works from the former Peter Stuyvesant Collection, property of British American Tobacco Netherlands (BAT), on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Sotheby’s in Amsterdam. The works from the collection to be offered for sale are estimated to realise in excess of €4 million.

What immediately interested them was that Dos Palillos was a one of a kind culinary experience offered by Albert Raurich, elBulli’s former chef. In order to celebrate his cuisine, the concept of the restaurant gives full means of expression to his culinary art.
