After studying painting at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Hervé Van der Straeten first gained recognition for himself with his jewellery collections, both under his own name as well as working with fashion. Spore is made from aluminium sheet with a content that is 75% to 100% recycled. Aluminium is a material which can be endlessly recycled. Recycled aluminium uses five percent of the energy required to produce new aluminium.
