Inspired by egyptian art, Marc Duplantier designed during the 30's and the 40's several object and furniture distinguished by a modern outlook and a perfect knowledge of volumes and proportions.
He studied arithmetic, painting in the Jullian Academy, architecture with Héraut and fashion design with Jenny and Jacques Doucet . He also designed costumes for La Comedie Française (french famous theater).
During World War II, Marc Duplantier went to Spain and created many interior decorations there. He came back to Paris in 1960.
He went to Mexico in 1962 and opened "artdecor. He finally settled in Paris in 1966, where he died in 1975.
